Honor Club

Recipe for Success

The honor club has four objectives.  The first is to promote citizenship and leadership.  The second is to encourage fellowship and cooperation.  The third is to reward effort and achievement, and the fourth objective is to inspire honesty and tolerance.

Students are invited to participate in the club based on academic grades and teacher recommendation of character.

We have one invitation period for each school year after the completion of the first nine weeks.

Membership requirements are an average of 93 in all academic subjects with no single subject grade below a 90.  Students must maintain these requirements each nine weeks to remain a member in good standing.  Students must also demonstrate positive character in the classroom.

Our club participates in community activities such as the MCHS Homecoming Parade and the Marshall County Christmas Parade.  We also have two projects each year that focus on local and regional charities.  Over the last several years we have  completed several different drives including collecting dog and cat food the local animal shelter, collecting food and office items for the Ronald McDonald house, collecting food and snacks for food boxes, and providing a local nursing home with gift bags for the residents.
